21. Yüzyıl Türkiye Enstitüsü tarafından yazıldı.
21st Century Turkey Institute offers internships for the period of 7 March-1 April 2016, for a limited number of Turkish and foreign, graduate and post-graduate students. The deadline for applications is 26 February 2016.
This term, graduates of International Relations and Political Science from Turkish and foreign universities and those who have a good command of a foreign language(s) (English, Russian) will be given priority. Knowledge of Turkish for foreign applicants is desired. However, language proficiency or academic field are not criteria for application.
Candidates will be invited to interviews during the week of 29 February-4 March.
Interns participate in all activities of the Institute, do academic work as well as office and clerical work. Each intern remains under the supervision of an Institute fellow and receives advice and guidance from her/him. Working hours are 9:00-17:00, Monday through Friday, which may also include a few extra hours during weekends, if there is a planned event.
Interns are required to write a 2-3 page ‘comment’ on a current world event (related to Turkey’s security) which they select depending on their areas of interest—to be confirmed by their advisors—and give a 10-15 minute presentation in the final week, on the same subject.
Lunch, tea-coffee are provided by the Institute. Interns are also allocated a desk. Institute’s administrative support is limited to these services only.
Interns are to use their own laptops (logging in through Institute’s wi-fi system), commute at their own expense and divide their four-week internship time in approximately half, between academic research and clerical/office work.
